Notice Inviting Tender

NO:EE(E)/TED/CHD/NIT/2288-2302 DATED:-22.5.2000

The Executive Engineer(E), Telecom Electrical Division, SCO 144-145, Sector 34-A, Chandigarh invites on behalf of President of India sealed item rate tenders for the work of SITC of Associated works for Package type Air Cooled AC Units for Various TE Bldg, in Punjab under TEC-Chandigarh from the eligible contractors satisfying the following conditions.

ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

1. Contractors/firms fulfilling the following conditions shall be eligible to tender should have satisfactorily completed at least 3 works of similar nature of Rs 3 Lacs each during the last three years and work execution turnover of similar work shall not be less than Rs 3 Lacs in the past 3 years in Central Government/State Government/Public Sector Undertaking.

2. The period of three years as applicable shall be reckoned from the date of NIT.

3.The details of experience along with IT clearance certificate shall be submitted along with the application for purchase of tender documents at least four working days before the last date of selling of tenders so as to enable the verification of the experience criteria and the other details for the tender issue.

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF TENDER:

The tenderer shall submit the tenders in 2 sealed covers marked as cover 1 and cover 2. The first cover should contain the EMD in the shape of Nationalised bank/State Bank guaranteed by Reserve Bank of India drawn in favour of Reserve Bank of India drawn in favour of ACCOUNTS OFFICER, TELECOM ELECT. DIVISION, CHANDIGARH and the second cover should contain the tender documents.

In case 1st is not annexed or the condition on EMD indicated herein are not fulfilled, the second cover containing tenders will not be opened and will be rejected.

Exemption from payment of Earnest Money and Security Depoist granted by Chief Engineer CPWD shall not hold good for Telecom Department.

1. Estimated Cost : Rs 28,78,522/-

2.Earnest Cost : Rs 71,963/-

3. Currency of Contract : Six months from the date of award and further 3 months extension subject to mutual consent.

4. Time for Completion : Three months for individual works.

Conditions and tender forms can be had from his office upto 20.6.2000 on payment of Rs 500/-(non-refundable).

The tender will be received upto 3 p.m on 22.6.2000 and opened on 3.30 p.m. on the same day. In case of holiday is declared on the opening day the tenders will be opened on the next working day.

Note : Tenderers who have not executed work of

requisite capacity in Deptt of Telecom should apply at least 10 days in advance from the last date of sale of tenders for issue of tender documents with full credentials.
