From Mountain to Masterpiece: The Gang Saw Method. Before marble becomes a statement floor or a sculpted wall, it passes through a ritual of precision; the Gang Saw method.
Massive marble blocks are mounted and sliced using dozens of parallel steel blades, moving slowly and continuously. With water and abrasive slurry doing the work, the block is cut over 24–72 hours into perfectly even slabs.
This slower process is intentional.
It preserves natural veining, reduces internal stress, and delivers slabs with character; no shortcuts, no compromises.
At BuildingSteps, we respect processes that honour the material. Because great spaces begin long before the stone reaches the site.
Craft takes time. And it shows.
